Sino Plant is looking for a hands-on Mechanic to join our Malalane branch.

This is a full-time, in-person role suited to someone who understands machines, can work independently, and takes pride in getting equipment up and running properly.

What we’re looking for:

  • Solid mechanical experience
  • Experience working on construction, agricultural, or mining equipment
  • Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently
  • Someone reliable, practical, and hardworking

The role:

  • Carry out PDI (pre-delivery inspections) on machines
  • Diagnose and repair faults on equipment
  • Perform routine servicing and maintenance
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure machines are ready for customers

The position is based in Malalane and requires someone who can take ownership of their work and keep standards high. If you know your way around machines and can get the job done properly, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

Sino Plant is looking for a hands-on Branch Manager to run our Cape Town branch based in Parow Industrial. This is a full-time, in-person role for someone who can take control of the branch, lead from the front, and drive sales and performance.

We’re looking for someone who is a natural salesperson but also has a solid mechanical understanding. Ideally, you’ll have experience in the construction, agricultural, or mining equipment industries and be comfortable working around machines and workshop operations.

You will be responsible for the overall running of the branch, including:

  • Managing a team mechanics in the PDI and repairs workshop
  • Leading and motivating a team of sales staff, while also stepping in to close deals when needed
  • Overseeing daily operations such as stock takes, stock control, customer service, showroom presentation, and general branch upkeep

This is a hands-on role — not an office job.

The position is based in Parow Industrial, with working hours of 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and alternating Saturdays until 1pm. Due to urgency, the usual 8-month training programme has been fast-tracked to 1 month at our head office in Pretoria, followed by further training at the Cape Town branch. The salary structure includes a basic salary, personal sales commission, and commission on overall branch performance. A company Hilux bakkie is provided for work use.
